Terms of Booking

The short version: we take your booking and payment, Khat Tours and Safaris runs your tour, and you can cancel for free up to 48 hours before.

Who you are booking with

yalladunes.com is run by Yalla Dunes LLC, a company in the United States. Yalla Dunes LLC is a booking agent: we take your booking and your payment on behalf of Khat Tourism LLC (trading as Khat Tours and Safaris), a tour operator in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, who runs every tour on this site.

Your tour is provided by Khat Tourism LLC. Our part is the booking, the payment, refunds under our policies, and helping you before and after the trip.

Prices and payment

• Prices are in US dollars (USD), and we charge in US dollars. We also show an estimate in your own currency, from the day’s exchange rate; that figure is a guide, not the price.
• If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the charge at its own rate and may add a foreign transaction fee.
• Prices include any VAT due on the tour.
• The price you see before you pay is the full price for your group. Most tours are priced per vehicle, boat or couple; city tours and the dhow cruise are priced per person.
• You pay the full price when you book, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments are processed by Stripe.
• Extras you add on the day, such as quad bike rides, photos or drinks at the camp, are paid to the operator directly.

Your booking

While you pay, we hold your place for 35 minutes. If payment doesn’t go through in that time, the place goes back on sale and nothing is charged. Your booking is confirmed when payment succeeds; we email your confirmation and voucher straight away.

Please check the date, time and number of guests on your confirmation. Book for the real number of guests, children included, and give each child’s age: vehicles and boats have a set number of seats, and the operator can turn away guests beyond it.

Changes and cancellations

Cancel or move your booking for free up to 48 hours before the start. After that there is no refund. If the weather or the operator stops your trip, you can move it for free or get a full refund. The cancellation policy has the details.

Pickup and timings

Pickup times are a window. Be ready at your pickup point from the start of the window; the driver contacts you on the phone number you gave us. Timings during the tour are a guide and can change with traffic, sunset and the weather.

If you are not at the pickup point or the marina and the team can’t reach you, the trip counts as a no-show and is not refunded.

Yachts: everyone needs ID

UAE Coast Guard rules say every guest on a yacht, children included, must carry an original passport or Emirates ID. The crew can’t take anyone on board without one, and a trip missed for this reason is not refunded.

Safety

• The operator’s drivers, guides and crews are in charge of safety, and you agree to follow their instructions and the safety briefing.
• Dune bashing, buggies and quad bikes are rough rides. They are not suitable if you are pregnant or have back, neck or heart problems. Tell us when you book and the operator will plan around it.
• Children travel in the car seats or boosters provided and wear life jackets on boats.
• Drivers of buggies and quad bikes must meet the operator’s age and safety rules on the day.
• The operator can stop an activity for anyone who is unsafe, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or ignoring instructions. There is no refund in that case.

Responsibility

Khat Tourism LLC is responsible for running your tour safely and as described. Yalla Dunes LLC is responsible for taking your booking and payment correctly and for refunds under our policies. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the law that applies to you.
