How much does a skydive cost in Dubai?

A tandem skydive with Skydive Dubai costs AED 2,749 over the Palm and AED 2,199 over the desert, including standard photos, video and medical insurance, according to Skydive Dubai’s tandem page on 2 November 2026. Without photos or video, the jump costs AED 2,449 and AED 1,899. Skydive Dubai runs both drop zones, so these are the prices to compare any reseller against.

Prices from Skydive Dubai’s tandem page and FAQs. Checked 2 November 2026.

The FAQs add that walk-in and priority fees are charged on top of “the regular tandem price, depending on the season”, so prices can move through the year. Resellers sometimes undercut the official rate: Platinumlist listed the Palm jump with photos and a short edited video at AED 2,599 and the desert jump at AED 2,199 on the same day.

Palm Dropzone or Desert Campus: which should you choose?

Choose the Palm for the view of Palm Jumeirah and the Dubai coast, and the Desert Campus to save AED 550 and jump over open dunes. Both have their own runway, so you take off and land at the place you check in.

Hours from Skydive Dubai’s contact page, checked 2 November 2026.

The Palm Dropzone is in Dubai Marina, close to JBR and the Palm itself. The Desert Campus is out on the E66, and Skydive Dubai does not provide transport; for the desert, its FAQs suggest staying in nearby Dubai Silicon Oasis. Plan on a taxi or your own car.

If you want a female instructor, ask at check-in at the Palm, or email the Desert Campus at least 24 hours before your slot. Skydive Dubai says this depends on staffing on the day and may mean a longer wait.

Which video and photo package do you need?

The standard package adds AED 300 to the jump alone and puts a separate camera flyer in the air with you. That videographer jumps alongside you and your instructor, and the edited video and photos reach your inbox within 48 hours.

The two add-ons work only with the standard package:

  • Instagram highlight reel, AED 150: a one-minute social edit.
  • Selfie view, AED 250: footage from a camera on your instructor’s wrist, so you see your own face in freefall.

To jump without any video, Skydive Dubai asks you to contact its reservations team rather than book online. If the camera fails or the weather spoils the footage, management reviews the case and you may get the camera fee back, according to the sales and refund policy. Smart glasses that record video are not allowed on site.

Who can skydive? Age, weight and health limits

You can do a tandem skydive in Dubai if you are 18 to 75 and within Skydive Dubai’s weight and BMI limits. These are the rules on its tandem page:

  • Age: 18 to 75 on the day of the jump. From 70 to 75 you need a Declaration of Fitness form signed and stamped by a doctor.
  • Women: 90 kg or less, with a BMI of 27.5 or less.
  • Men: 100 kg or less, with a BMI of 30.0 or less.
  • Weigh-in: at check-in, in your shoes and clothes.
  • Alcohol and drugs: none for at least 24 hours before the jump.
  • Scuba diving: none in the 24 hours before.
  • Pregnancy: Skydive Dubai strongly advises against jumping.
  • Medical conditions: diabetes, epilepsy, heart or lung disease, high blood pressure, a dislocated shoulder, severe head injury, recurrent blackouts and other past or present conditions all need the doctor-stamped fitness form.

Guests with a prosthetic limb or who use a wheelchair should email the team before booking. No refund is given if you fail the age, weight or BMI check, have been drinking or have dived in the last 24 hours, so be honest with yourself before you pay.

How far ahead should you book a skydive in Dubai?

Book as soon as your dates are on the calendar, which Skydive Dubai says usually opens one to three months ahead; popular dates fill. If your date is taken, check the other drop zone or join the daily waiting list at the Palm.

Skydive Dubai says reservations must go through the live booking calendar on its website. It works with some travel agents, but it takes no responsibility for agent bookings made for dates its own calendar shows as full, and refunds for agent bookings go through the agent.

Your payment stays valid for 12 months. You can reschedule yourself through the “Manage Booking” link up to 24 hours before your slot; groups must reschedule at least 72 hours ahead. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead by email for a full refund. Later than that, the penalty equals the cost of the jump.

When can you skydive, and what if the weather is bad?

You can jump on any day a drop zone is open, but the wind decides. Skydive Dubai’s tandem page sets no season; its skydiving school runs from October to April and closes in the summer months, which are also the hottest for a long wait on the ground. For the cooler months, see the best time to visit Dubai.

When the wind is too strong, at ground level or higher up, operations go on “standby”. Staff watch the conditions and resume when it is safe; if it does not improve, they cancel for the day. Poor visibility or rain can do the same. You then choose another date or a refund. Skydive Dubai tries to warn guests by phone or email, but it can close a drop zone without notice and does not cover travel or hotel costs.

Drop zones can also close for longer spells. Skydive Dubai reopened on 24 April 2026 after a temporary closure, initially with the Palm open Friday to Sunday from 9am (Khaleej Times). The hours have changed since, so check the contact page in the week you go.

The best protection is timing. Skydive Dubai advises visitors to book the jump for the first half of their trip, leaving days to rebook.

What happens on the day of your skydive?

Expect three to four hours from check-in to the end, of which the jump itself is a small part. The time in your confirmation email is your arrival time, not your jump time. This is the sequence Skydive Dubai describes:

  1. Check in with a government photo ID (passport, national ID or driving licence) and any fitness form. You are weighed in your shoes and clothes.
  2. Brief with your tandem instructor, then a short pre-jump interview with your camera flyer.
  3. Walk to the boarding area on the runway for a safety check and a few photos.
  4. Climb in the aircraft with your instructor and videographer.
  5. Jump from up to 13,000 ft and fall at about 200 km/h. Platinumlist’s listing gives about 60 seconds of freefall.
  6. Land with your instructor under the parachute, back at the drop zone.

Wear athletic clothes and laced trainers without buckles or studs. Shorts must reach the thigh so the harness fits. Sleeveless or low-cut tops, collared shirts, swimwear, sandals and boots are not allowed, and light colours get dirty. Glasses and contact lenses are fine, because you get goggles.

Friends can wait at the café and watch landings from the viewing deck, with free Wi-Fi. There is no childcare, and under-15s must be supervised. If both parents are jumping, book a morning slot so staff can put you on different flights and one of you always stays with the children.

What if you can’t, or don’t want to, jump?

If you are under 18, over the weight limit or simply not ready, there are other ways to fly. Skydive Dubai’s own Inflight Dubai wind tunnel at Margham starts at AED 240 and is aimed at first-timers. The XLine zipline over Dubai Marina takes riders from 12, and a helicopter tour shows the same Palm and coastline from a seat. Skydive Dubai’s gyrocopter flight was listed as temporarily closed on its contact page on 2 November 2026. The adventures in Dubai guide compares them all, with a hot air balloon at sunrise for something slower.

Yalla Dunes does not sell skydives; book them on Skydive Dubai’s calendar. If you jump at the Desert Campus and want more time in the sand, a private evening desert safari collects you from your hotel in the afternoon for dune bashing and a camel ride. To see the Palm from the water after seeing it from the sky, a two-hour yacht cruise sails past Atlantis. The tour cards below show current prices.

Questions

How much does Skydive Dubai cost?

On 2 November 2026, Skydive Dubai’s own site priced a tandem jump with standard photos and video at AED 2,749 over the Palm and AED 2,199 at the Desert Campus. Without photos or video it was AED 2,449 and AED 1,899. A one-minute Instagram edit adds AED 150 and the selfie-view camera AED 250. Turning up without a booking costs AED 300 extra if a slot frees up.

Is the Palm or the desert drop zone better for a skydive?

The Palm is the famous one: you fall towards Palm Jumeirah with Dubai Marina and the coast in view, and it costs AED 550 more. The Desert Campus on the Al Ain road at Margham looks over sand dunes, costs less and is open on different days. Pick the Palm for the view, and the desert to save money or when the Palm is full.

What is the weight limit for skydiving in Dubai?

Skydive Dubai’s tandem limit is 90 kg with a BMI of 27.5 or less for women, and 100 kg with a BMI of 30 or less for men. You are weighed at check-in in your shoes and clothes, so leave a margin. If you are over the limit on the day, you cannot jump and the ticket is not refunded, so check yourself against the limits before you pay.

How old do you have to be to skydive in Dubai?

You must be between 18 and 75 on the day of the jump, by the Gregorian calendar. Skydivers aged 70 to 75 need a Declaration of Fitness form signed and stamped by a doctor. Teenagers cannot do a tandem jump, but they can fly in the Inflight Dubai wind tunnel, which Skydive Dubai runs at its Margham site, or ride the XLine zipline from age 12.

How far in advance should you book a skydive in Dubai?

As soon as your dates are fixed. Skydive Dubai says its calendar usually takes bookings one to three months ahead, and popular dates fill. If your date is full, try the other drop zone or join the daily waiting list at the Palm on the day. Book through Skydive Dubai’s live calendar or check that a reseller’s date is shown there, and plan the jump for the first half of your trip in case the wind forces a change.

What happens if your skydive is cancelled because of the weather?

You can move the jump to another date or ask for a refund. Wind at ground level or at altitude is the usual cause: Skydive Dubai first puts operations on standby, then cancels for the day if conditions do not improve. It does not pay for related costs such as hotels or flights, and payments are valid for 12 months from purchase.

Can you skydive in Dubai without a booking?

Sometimes. At the Palm Dropzone you can put your name on a daily waiting list, first come first served, and pay a AED 300 walk-in fee on top of the jump if a slot opens. For a guaranteed slot that day, the Palm sells a limited number of priority places at AED 700 extra. Guests whose jumps were cancelled by Skydive Dubai get priority on the list.
