The Dubai Frame is a 150-metre picture frame in Zabeel Park, run by Dubai Municipality, with a viewing bridge across the top. It is one of the least expensive ways to see the city from above, and the ticket price has a single rate all day.

Checked 2 November 2026 on dubaiframe.ae and its booking site. USD at the fixed rate of AED 3.6725 to USD 1.

There is also a VIP ticket, sold through a separate link on the official site. Resellers such as Platinumlist sell standard tickets too; since the official price is low and flat, booking direct is the simplest option.

What are the Dubai Frame opening hours?

The Dubai Frame is open from 8am to 9pm every day of the year, including weekends and public holidays. Hours may change during Ramadan, Eid and other public holidays, so check before visiting in those weeks. On the booking site, a ticket covers one entry on the date you choose rather than a fixed time slot; on 2 November the day showed a single 8am to 9pm window.

Older pages online still quote 9am or 10am openings. The current official hours on dubaiframe.ae are 8am to 9pm.

How do you book Dubai Frame tickets?

Book on the official site in a few minutes:

  1. Open the booking site, linked as “Book a Ticket” on dubaiframe.ae.
  2. Pick your date on the calendar, which marks days as available or sold out.
  3. Add adult and child tickets. One transaction is capped at 15 tickets, and VAT is added in the cart.
  4. Pay, then look for the confirmation and barcode in your email. If nothing arrives, check your spam folder or call the 24-hour line on 800900.
  5. Arrive 10 to 15 minutes before you plan to go up.

You can also buy at the main park entrance or in the Dubai Frame app. People of determination should go to the ticket counter, where the free companion tickets are issued.

What is inside the Dubai Frame?

A visit runs from the past at ground level, through the present at the top, to the future on the way down.

  • Old Dubai gallery: on the mezzanine, a multimedia exhibition on how a fishing village became a modern city, using animation and holographic effects with traditional music and scents.
  • The Sky Deck: a lift takes you to the bridge at the top, with old Dubai to the north and the newer towers to the south. The floor of the 50-metre bridge is made of glass that stays frosted until someone walks over it, then turns clear (Visit Dubai).
  • Future Dubai gallery: back on the mezzanine, a swirl tunnel with sound and light effects leads to a vision of Dubai in 50 years, with flying taxis, underwater living and space missions.

The structure is 150 metres tall and 93 metres wide, clad in more than 15,000 square metres of gold-coloured stainless steel.

How long do you need at the Dubai Frame?

Most visitors need 45 minutes to an hour, which is the estimate Platinumlist gives in its FAQ. Add time for the bag check at the entrance, and more if you want to walk in Zabeel Park before or after.

When is the best time to visit the Dubai Frame?

Go about an hour before sunset so you see the city in daylight and then lit up, since the Frame stays open until 9pm. In November the sun sets between 5:28pm and 5:38pm (timeanddate.com). The Dubai Frame advises booking ahead especially for weekends, so a weekday is the easier choice if your dates are flexible.

How do you get to the Dubai Frame?

The Dubai Frame is in Zabeel Park, and you enter at Gate 4.

  • Metro: take the Red Line to Max station, then walk to Zabeel Park, as Visit Dubai describes. The Dubai Frame’s own site names the station Al Jafiliya.
  • Bus: route F09 runs between Al Wasl Park and Al Jafiliya Bus Station via Satwa, and its Dubai Frame stop (DFR1) is close to the ticket office.
  • Car: from Dubai Marina and the south, head north-east on Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), take Exit 32 onto Al Marsa Street, turn right onto Al Gharbi Street and follow the signs.

Al Seef, the heritage waterfront on Dubai Creek, lies further north, so the Frame fits easily into a day in old Dubai.

What are the rules at the Dubai Frame?

The Dubai Frame asks for respectful clothing and does not allow pets, smoking, food, drinks, toys or sharp tools. Handbags are fine, but shopping bags, sports bags and backpacks go into the baggage room, and large bags and pushchairs are left at the Gate 4 counter. Do not lean on or climb the railings, or sit children on them, and keep children under 12 with an adult.

Is the Dubai Frame or Burj Khalifa better?

Do both if you can, because they show different things. The Burj Khalifa decks are about three times higher, at around 450 metres, but a standard adult ticket started at AED 189 on the official site when we checked; see the Burj Khalifa ticket guide. The Frame is far cheaper and lines up old and new Dubai on either side of you, which helps first-time visitors understand the city’s layout.

The Frame is a photo stop on the half-day Dubai city tour, together with Burj Khalifa, the Museum of the Future building and Burj Al Arab, before the souks and the abra. For more ideas, see things to do in Dubai and free things to do in Dubai.

Questions

Do you need to book Dubai Frame tickets in advance?

You do not have to, because tickets are also sold at the main park entrance, but the Dubai Frame strongly recommends booking ahead, especially for weekends. Book on the official site or the Dubai Frame app, and you receive a barcode by email. Each e-ticket admits one person, and printing extra copies does not let more people in.

Can you use a Dubai Frame ticket more than once?

No. The ticket is valid for one visit on the date you booked, and the Dubai Frame FAQ says it cannot be used more than once in a day. If you want to see the view both in daylight and after dark, arrive about an hour before sunset and stay inside until the city lights come on.

Is the Dubai Frame free for children?

Only for children under 3. Children aged 3 to 12 pay AED 20, plus 5% VAT at checkout on the official booking site, and from 13 they pay the adult price of AED 50 plus VAT. Children under 12 must be with an adult at all times, and pushchairs are left at the Gate 4 counter.

What is the nearest metro station to the Dubai Frame?

Max station on the Red Line, according to Visit Dubai, from where it is a short walk to Zabeel Park. The Dubai Frame’s own site calls the stop Al Jafiliya, which is the same area. Bus F09 also stops at the Dubai Frame bus stop, close to the ticket office.

Is the Dubai Frame open during Ramadan?

Yes. The Dubai Frame is open all year, including weekends and public holidays, but its opening times may change during Ramadan, Eid and other holidays. Check the plan-your-visit page on dubaiframe.ae, or call 800900, before you go during those weeks.
