There are three Burj Khalifa tickets, named Silver, Gold and Platinum, and the price depends on which levels you want and, for Silver, the time of day. All prices below come from the official At the Top booking site, which Burj Khalifa’s own website links to for tickets.

A standard Burj Khalifa ticket (Silver, Levels 124 and 125) cost AED 189 for an adult at most times of day when we checked, and AED 219 for the late-afternoon slots from 4:30pm to 7pm. Checked 2 November 2026 on the official booking calendar, for a visit on Tuesday 10 November 2026. Children under 3 enter free. Prices change by date and season, so the calendar for your own date is the final word.

The same site sells bundles: At the Top plus a souvenir for AED 204, plus Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo for AED 319, and plus Sky Views Observatory for AED 278. Resellers also sell Burj Khalifa tickets, often bundled with transfers; compare their total against the official price for the same slot before you pay.

What do you get on each Burj Khalifa ticket?

Each ticket goes higher and adds more service, but all three include Levels 124 and 125.

Silver: Levels 124 and 125

Silver takes a double-decker lift to Level 124, which has an outdoor terrace, and then Level 125, decorated with Arabic mashrabiya screens, about 450 metres up. It includes free wifi. The virtual-reality climb is an extra, open to ages 10 and over. For most first-time visitors this is the ticket to buy.

Gold: Level 148

Gold adds Level 148, 555 metres up, with its own outdoor terrace. You get a separate fast-track queue, a multilingual guide, and Arabic coffee, sweets and soft drinks in the SKY lounge. You can stay on Level 148 for up to 30 minutes, then carry on to Levels 124 and 125 for as long as you like. It does not include canapés or alcohol.

Platinum: Levels 152 to 154

Platinum is the full set: Levels 124, 125 and 148, plus the lounge on Levels 152 to 154 at 585 metres, which holds a Guinness World Record as the highest lounge. It adds VIP access, a guided tour, unlimited canapés, soft drinks and a welcome glass of bubbly.

When is the best time to go up Burj Khalifa?

For a sunset visit, At the Top’s FAQ recommends a Level 124 entry about 120 minutes before sunset; there is no separate sunset ticket. In November 2026 the sun sets in Dubai between 5:28pm and 5:38pm (timeanddate.com), so aim for a 3:30pm slot. On the calendar we checked, the 3pm and 3:30pm Silver slots were still at the standard rate; the higher price started at 4:30pm.

If you want the city lights rather than the sunset, slot prices were back at the standard rate from 7:30pm, and Silver slots ran until 11pm on the date we checked. Check the forecast before you go: Emaar takes no responsibility for weather that spoils the view, and there are no refunds for it.

How long does the Burj Khalifa visit take?

At the Top puts the average visit at about 1 hour 30 minutes, and you can stay on Levels 124 and 125 as long as you like. On a Gold ticket, time on Level 148 is limited to 30 minutes. At the Top says visits take longer in peak seasons and hours, so leave two hours before your next plan.

How do you book Burj Khalifa tickets?

Booking ahead is not compulsory, but it is the only way to be sure of the slot you want.

  1. Go to the official At the Top booking site and choose Silver, Gold or Platinum.
  2. Pick your date. Every time slot shows its price, so you can see the peak hours before you choose.
  3. Add adults and children. Child tickets cannot be bought on their own, and children under 3 do not need one.
  4. Pay online. The ticket is valid only for the date and time printed on it.
  5. Arrive well before your slot and enter from the lower ground floor of Dubai Mall, at the gate near the Burj Khalifa lift.

You can cancel up to 24 hours before your visit by emailing tickets@atthetop.ae; requests inside 24 hours are refused.

What are the rules for bags, food and dress?

Handbags and purses are fine, but backpacks, shopping bags, sports bags, large bags and pushchairs go into the luggage room by the entrance, and you collect them on the way out. Electronics such as laptops and tablets, e-cigarettes, glass bottles, aerosols, sharp items and multi-tools are not allowed up.

  • Food and drink: no outside food or drink. There is a café on the ground level and another on Level 124.
  • Dress: At the Top asks for smart casual. For what to wear elsewhere in the city, see the Dubai dress code guide.
  • Photos: personal photos are fine; professional photography is not allowed.
  • Access: the whole experience is wheelchair accessible, and children up to 16 must stay with an adult.

How do you get to Burj Khalifa?

Take the Dubai Metro Red Line to Burj Khalifa station and walk through Dubai Mall to the At the Top entrance on the lower ground floor. By car, leave Sheikh Zayed Road at the first interchange and follow Financial Centre Road to Dubai Mall; At the Top recommends the Fashion Avenue car park. Taxis drop at Dubai Mall.

Is the Burj Khalifa worth the money?

Yes, for a first visit, and the Silver ticket at a standard-rate slot is the best value. Gold buys about 100 metres more height, shorter queues and refreshments, which matters more on busy afternoons than on a quiet morning. Platinum is for a special occasion. If the price is a stretch, the Dubai Frame gives a city view for AED 50 plus VAT, and the Dubai Fountain at the foot of the tower is free to watch every 30 minutes from 6pm to 11pm; see free things to do in Dubai.

The tower is also a photo stop on the half-day Dubai city tour, alongside the Dubai Frame and Burj Al Arab, if you would rather see it from the ground. For the rest of the city, start with things to do in Dubai.

Questions

How much is the Burj Khalifa ticket for level 148?

Level 148 comes with the Gold ticket, which cost AED 399 (about USD 109) per person on the official At the Top booking site when we checked on 2 November 2026, for adults and children alike and at every time slot. It includes Levels 124 and 125, priority access, a multilingual guide and Arabic coffee and sweets in the SKY lounge. You can spend up to 30 minutes on Level 148.

Do children need a ticket for Burj Khalifa?

Children under 3 enter free. Older children need a child ticket, which cost AED 149 at standard times and AED 165 at peak times for the Silver ticket on the date we checked, and can only be bought alongside an adult ticket. The booking page labels child tickets for ages 3 to 8. Children up to 16 must stay with an adult.

Can you buy Burj Khalifa tickets at the entrance?

Yes. At the Top says you do not have to buy tickets in advance, but it recommends booking ahead so you get the time you want. Booking online also shows you the price of each time slot before you pay, so you can pick a standard-rate slot.

What happens if it is cloudy or rainy?

At the Top does not refund tickets or give rain checks for bad weather, and the outdoor terrace may close for safety. If the forecast looks poor, move your booking while you still can: cancellations are allowed up to 24 hours before your visit by emailing tickets@atthetop.ae.

How high can you go in Burj Khalifa?

The highest level open to visitors is the lounge on Levels 152 to 154, 585 metres above the ground, on the Platinum ticket. Level 148 on the Gold ticket is at 555 metres. The standard Silver ticket takes you to Levels 124 and 125, about 450 metres up, with an outdoor terrace.
